Snow Day

Posted 2/5/2014 6:09pm by Eugene Wyatt.

We awoke to a foot of freshly fallen snow; another inch or two of snowfall and the sheep would have been stuck, unable to put their feet down solidly—they couldn't move. I would have had to use the tractor to make them a path along which they would have walked, orderly in single-file, following my tractor tracks to their hay feeders.

I do for you and you do for me.

To walk easily through the snow today I had to follow the narrow serpentine path the sheep had made by ambling over the snow and packing it down.
