Looking at Heather yarn makes me think of the paintings of Georges Seurat, a Post-Impressionist who devised a painting technique the critics called Pointilism.

Our Saxon Merino wool, 75% undyed and 25% dyed-in-the-wool black, is blended in the card then spun into a worsted singles at the Green Mountain Spinnery; the yarn is uniquely hand-dyed at the farm in small, limited-edition dye lots. 

Hand-dyed yarn usually has color variation, yet the yarn you select will be from the same dye lot.
